Our rule for showing a job
A job appears here only once the homeowner has agreed in writing, and the tradie who did it has too. We never use stock photos, sample jobs or staged shots on this page.
PlumbMatch does no plumbing, so a job shown here belongs to the tradie who did it and carries their business name. You always know whose work you're looking at.
What a job post shows
- The kind of job, such as a cylinder replacement or a cleared sewer lateral.
- The suburb or town, never the street or house.
- The business that did the work.
- Photos the tradie took, used with the homeowner's and the tradie's written OK.
- The month it was finished.
Judging a tradie's past work yourself
Ask the tradie for photos of a job like yours. Someone who does plenty of califont swaps or drain repairs will have some to show.
Check the licence of each person who'll be on site. Our guide to checking a PGDB licence shows how.
PGDB also runs a separate property register for the self-certification scheme. Anyone can look up a property there and see the certificates of compliance issued for it under that scheme, and searching it costs nothing by law.
How to choose a plumber covers what else to look for.
Before a tradie sees any job from us, we look up their PGDB licences and a person reads their Google reviews. How we check tradies sets out each step, and the services section covers each kind of job you can send us.
Leave the tradie a review
When the job's finished, a review on the tradie's Google Business Profile is the one other homeowners will actually see, good or bad.
