Real reviews only
We won't write reviews, borrow them from another business or show a star rating nobody can trace to a real customer. In New Zealand it is illegal for a business to mislead or deceive consumers, whether or not it meant to.
If we can't show where a review came from, it doesn't go on this page.
Why reviews here are about tradies
PlumbMatch passes jobs on. It doesn't visit your home, quote or do the work, so a review of the plumbing belongs to the tradie who did it.
Your own review belongs on the tradie's Google Business Profile, where the next homeowner will read it and the tradie can reply.
How a review is shown here
- Labelled with the business name of the tradie it's about.
- Shown in full, not cut down to the kind parts.
- Linked to the tradie's Google listing, so you can read the rest.
- Used only with written permission from the person who wrote it and from the tradie.
Reading a tradie's reviews yourself
- Do they mention jobs like yours, such as a cylinder swap or a blocked drain?
- How does the tradie answer an unhappy customer?
- Did a lot of reviews land in the same week, in similar words?
- Are the people who'll be on site the same people you can find on the PGDB register?
Reviews and licences are different checks
A glowing review doesn't tell you whether someone holds a current PGDB licence. Before a tradie gets their first job from us, a person reads their Google reviews, and the licences of the people doing the work are checked separately. How we check tradies covers both.
